Presenting the last Assam tea from 2023, the Assam Autumn Black Tea. It is made by the same teamaker who crafted the delicious 2023 Assam Summer Black Tea and 2023 Assam Autumn Gold. Grown using agrochemical free farming methods, you can be sure this is as clean as it gets and the taste certainly reflects it. We know by experience that farming organically is difficult in a low altitude region like Assam but it is not impossible, coupled by our passionate tea makers, they make it look like a cakewalk. There was a time when we had very little Assam Chai to offer, we're happy that is not the case anymore and it will just get better!

The dry leaf has a sweet milky and malty aroma, when placed on the heated teaware, you get aroma of jaggery with a hint of spices on the finish. The first sip greets you with notes of cherry and malt. The jaggery sweetness is still present, which has been a prominent feature of teas made by this producer. Once it cools down, you get notes of wood and malt. On further steeps(or sips if you're brewing in a pot), you get notes of oranges and cherry. There's a sugary sweetness to it, which is more noticeable at later steeps. We recommend brewing this tea gong fu style, to experience the complexities the tea has to offer. We hope you enjoy this last amazing find from Assam harvested in 2023 while we gear up for more amazing teas to come our way in 2024!
