Introducing our first ever summer white tea from Manipur old tree forest, the 2021 Summer Wild White Tea! Harvested right at the start of summer, after the intense spring harvest, this tea also embodies the start of the relaxing season of summer.
The dry leaf smells like dried roses with hints of betel leaf. When placed on the heated ware, we get a lot of fruit notes along with the same floral hint of roses. The first infusion is thick and has notes of white flowers with a hint of the fruit notes which will appear in the next few infusions. The second infusion is silky delight with notes of honey, caramel and raw guawas. There is a milky finish to it which adds to the overall experience. The third infusion has sweet notes of sugarcane and caramel, with the finish resembling raw guawas and green apple. The fourth infusion has a interesting note of bananas which has just ripened, with the raw bite still there along with the sweetness. The fifth and sixth infusion have the same banana note along with a ripe Indian pear finish. The fruit notes appear throughout the infusions with some taking centerstage in particular ones.
These will definitely depend on your infusion time, temperature, ratio and of course the brewing vessel. But the fruityness is guaranteed to shine whatever your parameters are. What makes this tea special is the dance of raw and ripe fruits throughout the infusions. The finish is always well rounded with notes of both raw and ripe fruits with honey and caramel notes complementing on the sweetness part.
